The Sierra Nevada del Cocuy discloses to the public two possible areas of activities to do here which are divided as tourism and ecotourism in the town in the Sierra Nevada.
TOURISM IN THE VILLAGE
As tourism offer in the town are: ecological hiking, camping, horseback riding, mountain and cultural tourism as a last option.
- Ecological Walks: These hiking trails are made known as real, since they represent the greatest potential for ecotourism and the area of the municipality.
- Camping: This activity is developed around the lakes in the town, with the possibility of fishing, these are all scenarios that evoke inner peace.
- Mountain Ride: Usually these trips are made by dirt roads and highways, where you can visit different peaks, mountains and viewpoints.
ECOTOURISM IN THE SIERRA NEVADA
As a second option we ecotourism in the Sierra Nevada, between this activity are: Adventure Trekking & Hiking, Horseback Riding High Mountain, rock and snow climbing, abseiling, caving, the biking, paragliding.
- Adventure Trekking: This activity is derived from mountaineering and consists of walking trails, hills, valleys and streams.
- Cavalcade of High Mountain: This is a journey that is made by the valleys of the frailejones, and high mountains, often past the big guns.
- Rock Climbing: The climbing of snow is made by the different peaks and snowy peaks.
